Why Did We Visit The Berggasthof? 12/6/12
We wanted to visit the site of the Old Platterhof Hotel and restaurant that dated to the 30’s and 40’s. The view from the dining room of what is now called the Berggasthof Restaurant is essentially the same. This was approximately the view Hitler had from his big picture window in his main reception hall at the Berghof. That’s why we drove up to the Obersalzberg this past July.
