Perfect For That Motel
I bought another one of these 10 inch Battery-operated indoor/outdoor fans with adapters before we left for a 76-day trip last summer to Europe. It was hot all the way across the country to Brooklyn. We used the fan in numerous motels along the route. Because it’s battery-operated we could put it on the nightstand between the beds and point it at our pillow. It worked even when everything else went off during an electrical storm in Harrisonburg, Virginia in late June. Believe it or not, we were even thinking of taking it on the Queen Mary 2. At the last minute we didn’t think it would fit in our luggage. But I wish I had taken it along. The Vornado we took gave up the ghost when we plugged it into a European adaptor. We ordered a European fan from Amazon.de to be delivered to Potsdam to pick up on the first night of the driving trip in Germany. But we had to leave it behind on the ship. It wouldn’t work in the USA. This battery-operated fan would have been perfect to use in all the above situations. The only drawback would be the enormous number of batteries you would have to drag along with you. It probably would have been worth it, though. Of course the battery-operated fan worked all the way back across the USA to Tucson. By the way, you can plug it in. It even works better that way. But the motels never seem to have plugs in the right places. P.S. We also use it on our patio when we eat lunch outside in Tucson.

Note: We own at least three of them.
