No sooner did we unload our bags into our room at the Quality Inn at Willcox on our trip to Santa Fe researching World War 2 spies than a kid from the pool on the courtyard burst into our room much to our surprise. The door lock didn’t work! That was only the first mishap. We sat down at the table and tried to plug in our computers, but there was no electrical outlet anywhere nearby. When we tried to take a bath, you had to squeeze past the door and suck in while you tried to close it behind you. The next morning there was a sign on the door of the breakfast room, formerly the closed Hopi Grill Restaurant, that announced that even though it was the Fourth of July there would be no hot breakfast that morning. At least it was pet-friendly! Our dog liked walking the grassy grounds.
