We didn’t want to eat at the El Canon at the Santa Fe Hilton where 3 years ago the waiter threw our tip at us. We walked across San Francisco Street to Il Vicino. Every night of our 4 night stay researching WW 2 spies we enjoyed dinner there. The 1st night the International Folk Art Festival was making things crowded. The wait staff had trouble keeping up. We ordered fettucine for 3 and got only 2. We had to ask 2X to get the 3rd. The manager brought us our goat’s milk cheese and the takeout for our dog. The next 3 nights everything was perfect. The last night we got a free pizza due to a loyalty card. Very economical in a city known for expensive restaurants.
