Dora and Edward traveled to Italy and Venice in Hitler’s Spy. But even going to Italy you couldn’t discover a tastier minestrone soup than that served at the Olive Garden at the Sunland Park Mall in El Paso, Texas — so large a mall that it even makes it on the map of Texas at exit 13.. We had lunch there today at the beginning of our 900 plus mile trek through the big state of Texas. The vegetables were fresh. Parmesan provided just the right touch. An unexpected extra delight appeared at Chili’s next to the La Quinta Bartlett where we stayed. We ordered ribeyes. They were accompanied by mashed potato souffles with chives and parsley. They were the best thing on the menu.
