Food Sculptures in Watermelon: Ancient Rome or Arkansas:
It looks like the days of ancient Rome, but it couldn’t have existed back then. You think of slaves delivering it on a silver or golden platter. It looks sculpturesque with eyes and a mouth. But wait a minute! It’s a watermelon. Now we’re thinking of Arkansas and moonlight and magnolia, not ancient Rome. So that shows the ingenuity of the chefs in the King’s Court Restaurant on deck 7 of the Queen Mary 2. At dinner many nights the passengers were treated to food sculptures in the fruit section just to whet your appetite and discover possibilities we hadn’t thought of when it comes to something as pleb as watermelon. Here a photo really is worth a thousand words.
