Medieval Glory:
I just heard that the famous ship of Henry V of England has been found in the River Hamble near Southampton. It saw action in the years after Henry V defeated France at the Battle of Agincourt. The ship was then forgotten for 600 years. It reminds me of the recent discovery of the bones of Richard III. Perhaps Edward Ware’s ancestors had something to do not only with Waterloo but with this far distant time period which is made to seem much more recent and vivid with this new discovery.
