We woke up at 7:30AM. It wasn’t very sunny out yet. We got dressed and went to CP in the lobby at the Microtel in Midland, Texas. For the price paid the breakfast was lamentable. I picked up 3 sausages for the dog. They had scrambled eggs that looked dried out but no omelettes like the ones at the Hampton Inn in Van Horn, and yet the Microtel was more expensive! We paid $204.60 for the Microtel and only $147.57 for the Hampton Inn. They had only chocolate muffins and cereal. They didn’t have powder creamer for the tea or coffee. The seating area was too small. Everything about the Microtel seemed too small — except the bill.
