We got off the road at exit 243 in Harrisonburg at the Ramada. We checked into room 154. My husband ended up paying $25.00 as a deposit because he didn’t call in advance to discuss policies at the motel. What was it for? Our dog, of course. But we were spoiled by La Quinta that always had free pet stays. This was a very ordinary roadside motel, so why would they charge a pet deposit?
