The New Forest Doesn’t Remind Me Of Yellowstone 9/12/12
We were watching our video footage of our July 13 shore excursion to Salisbury/Stonehenge, including a tour of the New Forest National Park. The tour guide told us the park was created in 2005. It has some scenic features including gorse and low-lying trees that make the land resemble heath. It’s very country-like, but the only “wildlife” are ponies which are barnyard animals auctioned off every year to bidders. It hardly reminds me of the grizzlies, black bears, and wolves in Yellowstone National Park. Also the tour guide talked about how much money the “lots of land” sold for in the New Forest. This hardly seems like land set aside for future generations to enjoy.
