We Preferred Room 4072 Over 8081 on the QM2 9/18/12
Not to be picky, but everybody in our group agrees that we preferred the triple on deck 4 with a balcony that had a full view of the sea to the obstructed cabin on deck 8 that we were forced to occupy on the way back across the North Atlantic. We also preferred to be on deck 4, which is the lowest passenger deck. It was closer to most of the public rooms. On the voyage over it was nothing to eat breakfast at Sir Samuel’s and pay daily visits to the shopping arcade on deck 3. We also liked being near Illuminations where we attended lectures and the Royal Court Theater where we watched performances of Richard III and The Canterbury Tales, also classical concerts. We felt very deprived on the return voyage being so far away from everything. It was hardly enough compensation to be on the same deck as Todd English and the library. About the only redeeming virtue was that it was close to deck 7 where we could snap photos of pilot whales.
