We Went Up A 24% Grade! 9/22/12
Not only was the grade up to the Berghof steep, it was even steeper than I imagined. We took a screen shot of a sign along the side of the road on the way down. It revealed that the grade was a whopping 24%! Up to now we thought it was steep if you had a 5% or 6% grade on an interstate. The most phenomenal grade I’ve seen marked was 18% on back roads on the Oregon coast, and we avoided going up and down those streets.
