We Went 13, 000 miles by Surface Transportation 11/08/12
It almost sounds like Around The World In 80 Days or some other Hollywood flick, but we just completed a trip of 13, 000 miles in 76 days without taking an airplane even once. We went from Tucson to Berchtesgaden and Salzburg and back again. As far as I know the circumference of the earth is only about twice that great. I looked it up just now and it’s technically about 24, 902 miles. So we went more than halfway around the earth this past summer — at least in terms of miles traveled.
