Reliable Phone Service:
I bought an International Sim Card last summer before we went to Europe to go with the Nokia phone that we purchased for the trip. It went live as soon as we were off the coast of England nearing Southampton for our shore excursion to Stonehenge, Salisbury Cathedral, and the New Forest. We could use it during the six and one half hours we were ashore to let our friends in America know where we were. It remained live during the rest of the voyage to Hamburg across the North Sea, at least most of the time when we were close to shore. Then we used it to call the United States from the Best Western Hotel in Potsdam the first night of the driving tour of Germany. We also used it to call the front desk to get driving directions to our hotel. Over the next 10 days we used it many times to call hotels, theaters, car rentals, and restaurants. Once in Salsburg we called Alt Salzburg to let our friends from Austria know where to meet us for lunch at the Best Western Imlauer Restaurant. The phone remained active until we were again off the coast of England leaving Southampton to cross the North Atlantic on the Queen Mary 2. The SIM card never let us down once.
