La Quinta Midland is an older facility that reminds me of its counterparts in Albuquerque and Stockton, California. All those La Quinta have exterior corridors and unique floorplans inside that are smaller and more intimate than their contemporary counterparts. The desk is the best feature of the room with plenth of space to spread out and a chair. Breakfast didn’t seem to be crowded off the lobby. We were the only ones there about 8AM. while we had Raisin Bran with skim milk and grabbed a yogurt and a cheese roll for our dog back in the room. Then we noticed that the trash cans were full. Everybody else had left earlier to beat the heat. It was the only La Quinta in Texas to offer La Quinta Texas postcards.
